It is now time to start my next book – especially since this one to can be pre-ordered on Amazon already. It is called The Swansea Book of Days and it is a really simple concept. Three incidents from the history of Swansea for each day of the year. There is plenty of research to be done!
I have seen in the news the admission that modern art works stolen by the Nazis have been found and work by Picasso has been mentioned. Now something that will definitely will get into the book is the fact that child refugees from Guernica were accommodated in Swansea during the Spanish Civil War – and of course Picasso’s painting Guernica is one of the great pieces of the twentieth century. The children arrived in May/June 1937. All I need now is a date….
