I am speaking to the good people of the Blackpill Local History Society in the Vivian Hall at 10.30 am on Tuesday 18 November 2014. They want me to speak about local murders and the great and the good of the posh side of town have given me plenty of material.
Naturally I will have books for sale – the ideal Christmas present for the discerning relative.
On Saturday 12 October 2013 I am speaking in Swansea Central library at 2.00 pm. I have called the talk “How things do Prosper” and I will be talking about 6 murders. One is quite well documented – but I have uncovered some new and fascinating information about Thomas Allen who murdered the owner of the Gloucester Hotel in 1889. The other 5 are much less well known – but interesting and tragic. You really do need to know about poor Lily Maud Challenger.
Be seeing you
I will be signing books in Waterstone’s in Swansea tomorrow, 27 July 2013 between 12.00pm and 2.00pm – Swansea Murders.
It features 25 of Swansea’s most notorious crimes….
An old friend of mine has just told me that you can pre-order my next book Swansea Murders on Amazon. So I had a look – and Stephanie is right. The book is published on 3 June 2013. I didn’t know but then that is how you find things out these days.
I received my copy of the January 2013 edition of Welsh Country Magazine. It is edition 50 and another impressive publication. It contains some excellent art work from Charlotte Wood and Ditta Szalkai who have both supplied illustrations for my next book, Swansea Murders.
My piece is about Ernest Willows from Cardiff, aviation pioneer and celebrity, 1886 – 1926
Obviously you can find out more about this fascinating man if you buy the magazine! Only £2.95
Here is a link to the Welsh Country Website.
Here is the suggested cover for my next book, which will be in the shops in the spring of 2013.
The book will contain the details of 28 murders in Swansea, from 1730 until 1949, some of which remain unsolved today.
